October 1, Fineko/abc.az. In Belgrade, SOCAR, Serbian companies EPS and Srbijagas signed a shareholders’agreement on construction of a 500 MW gas-fired power plant in Niš, Serbia.

The project creates a joint venture in which the parties will have equal shares (50/50). The document defines management, financing, and legal obligations.

This project, implemented thanks to the political will and strategic partnership of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Serbia, will make an important contribution to Serbia's energy security and the stability of its electric power system.
