October 1, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese companies have cancelled some of their October gasoline and diesel supplies, prioritizing the domestic market amid global energy instability, Bloomberg reports.

Against the background of this decision, the price spreads between current and future supplies have increased in Asia, indicating a supply squeeze. Fuel exports are mainly controlled by state-owned companies such as Sinopec and Sinochem, which supply the region through traders. Although China is not the largest exporter in Asia, its role is especially important during periods of scarcity and market turbulence.
