October 1, Fineko/abc.az. By 2030, it is possible to triple trade along the Middle Corridor and halve transportation times.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made the relevant statement at the CAMCA Regional Forum in Baku.

He noted that over the past 5 years, Central Asia has remained the region of Azerbaijan's most dynamically developing trading partners: "The establishment of peace in the region gives a new dimension to the opportunities for developing connectivity. The agreements reached in Washington in August 2025 have opened a new page for the South Caucasus. The Zangezur corridor, or TRIPP route, will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan and will become another link in the Middle Corridor," Jabbarov said.

He noted that the Central Asian countries are also interested in expanding these additional opportunities.

"We see how the world is turning connectivity from a desired direction into a real project that can be funded," the minister added.
