September 24, Fineko/abc.az. Within the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Ito Bizono.

The parties discussed the prospects for development of bilateral relations, institutionalization of political dialogue between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the strengthening of cooperation within international organizations.

The Agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of ordinary passports and the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations were signed between the two countries as a result of the discussions.

These new documents will serve to expand the institutional framework and further strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
